Order of Movies exists to answer one question quickly: what do I watch, and in what order?

Every franchise here is laid out twice. Release order is how audiences originally saw it — usually the best way to protect twists and watch a series find its feet. Chronological order follows the story's own timeline, which is often tidier and occasionally ruins something.

Where the two disagree, we say which we'd pick and why. We'd rather take a position than list both and leave you to it.

How we make money

Some of the "Where to watch" and "Buy" links earn a commission if you use them. It costs you nothing and it has no bearing on what we recommend — the orders are the orders.

Timelines get retconned and new films shuffle old ones. If something here is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
